Staff and equipment required for the transfer of the Deceased from home, hospital, nursing home, or coroner's office to our Crematorium, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. (Transfer includes radius of 20 miles, additional charge for additional mileage.)
Use of all Automotive Equipment such as the transfer vehicle from place of death and to crematorium. Also includes the use of a service vehicle to transport and retrieve legal documents (Death Certificates, Cremation Permit) from the Doctor or the State.
The use of our climate controlled holding room, as required by law.
The arrangement conference with a Licensed Funeral Director.
The filing of the Death Certificate and the Cremation Permit with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the county where the death occurred.
The filing of Veterans documents with the Commonwealth. (If applicable)
Notification of Social Security.
Notification of Medicare.
Applying for and obtaining certified copies of the death certificate for you. (We either deliver or mail the certificates directly to you.)
Posting of the obituary on our website and Facebook page, if requested by you. There is no charge to you to post the obituary on our website or Facebook page. You may also add one or two pictures of the Deceased to accompany the obituary too. Obituary and picture(s) must be emailed to us. If you need help writing an obituary, please view
"tips for writing an obituary".Obtaining legal documents (Death Certificate) from your Doctor and the Register's Office in the county where the death occurred.
Private individual cremation at our Crematorium. All cremations are performed by me, a Licensed Funeral Director. (Any Deceased weighing over 250 lbs. will incur an additional charge of $ 395. for cremation.)
County Medical Examiner Fee for a Cremation Permit. ($50 min.) Some Counties charge more.
Urn. Placement of the Cremated Remains into a white hard shell urn (included), unless another is selected. You can view over 250 additional urns available for purchase on this website under the tab, Urns/Jewelry.
Notification of the family member in charge when the Cremated Remains will be available to be received at our office during normal business hours.
Veterans Benefits we apply for: Each Veteran or the Spouse of a Veteran is entitle to receive up to 20 Free Certified Copies of the Death Certificate. If the Deceased is a veteran and is/was married to a veteran, email us a copy of the DD-214 Military Discharge. We will take care of the rest for you.
