Complete Direct Cremation service with Urn.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

  • Professional Service of Funeral Director and Staff. 
  • Staff and equipment required for the transfer of the Deceased from hospital, nursing home, or coroner's office to our Crematorium, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. 
  • Use of all Automotive Equipment such as the transfer vehicle from place of death and to the crematorium. Also includes the use of a service vehicle to transport and retrieve legal documents (Death Certificates, Cremation Permit) from the Doctor or the State.
  • The use of our climate controlled (Refrigeration) holding room, as required by law.   
  • Retrieving and then Filing with State or County all legal documents such as the (Death Certificate) from your Doctor and (Cremation Permit) from the County Medical Examiner and (Certified Death Certificates) from the Register's Office in the county where the death occurred.  
  • Cremation Permit Fee in the County where the Death Occurred.  (Up to $ 50.)
  • Private individual cremation at our Crematorium. All cremations are performed by a Licensed Funeral Director. 
  • The filing of Veterans documents with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. (If applicable)
  • Notification of Social Security.  You may contact Social Security directly regarding questions. 
  • Notification of Medicare.  You may contact Medicare directly regarding questions.
  • Posting of basic death notice on our website and Facebook page. There is no charge to you to have a full obituary posted on our website or Facebook page. You may also add one or two pictures of the Deceased to accompany the obituary. Obituary and picture(s) must be emailed to us at gyfh@comcast.net. If you need help writing an obituary, please view "tips for writing an obituary", under the "Questions" tab, or use our "Obituary Writer", (Artificial Intelligence Obituary writing) found under the "Obituaries" tab.  Both tabs are at the top of the Home Page.
  • Urn. Placement of the Cremated Remains into a white rectangle urn made from polystyrene and suitable for burial or scattering (included), unless another is selected. You can view over 250 additional urns available for purchase on this website under the tab, Urns and Jewelry.
  • Notification of the family member in charge when the Cremated Remains will be available to be received at our office during normal business hours.  
  • Ask us about Veterans Benefits the Deceased may be eligible for.  Email a copy of the DD-214 Military Discharge to gyfh@comcast.net is needed for us to apply for benefits.  

EXTRA'S (Not included in our price of $ 1,495.)  Please ask us if your not sure what may apply. 

  • Certified Death Certificates in Pennsylvania cost $ 20. per copy.   
  • If we are requested by you, a hospice nurse or coroner to respond to a private residence for the transfer of a Deceased, there will be an additional charge of $ 150.  (Private Residence only where two staff members and special equipment is required.  This does not apply to Nursing Homes, Hospitals or Coroner's Office.)
  • Any Deceased Male weighing over 250 lbs. or Deceased Female weighing over 200 lbs. will incur an additional charge of $ 495. for cremation. (The Crematory charges us this extra fee.)
  • Transfer of Deceased over 20 miles away from us.  Additional charge (one way charge.)  $ 95., plus $ 2.50 per mile. 
  • Private viewing prior to the Deceased being cremated is $ 495. (30 minutes maximum.)
  • Medical Examiner Cremation Permit Fee charge if over $ 50.  The corner permit fee of $ 50 is already included as part of our base price.  However, some counties in PA charge more.  
  • Sometimes a Coroner may use additional equipment for the transfer of a Deceased from a residence into their care.  This equipment (Body Bag) usually costs between $ 20. and $ 150.  
  • If you purchase an urn from an outside vendor and wish for us to fill that urn, we charge $ 95. for that service so we cover like replacement costs if we damage your urn.  No charge to fill urns purchased through us.    
  • Newspaper Obituary Charge. Price is determined by the newspaper.  
  • Urns, Cremation Jewelry, Memorial Folders or Cards, Funeral Programs, Register Books, Flowers, Head Stones, etc. are priced in our Urn Catalog.
