Alice Schell

Alice Louise (Tregea) Schell passed away at 10:16 a.m. on November 2nd 2021 surrounded by her family at St. Joseph's Hospital in Reading, PA. 

Alice was born to Fern Doris (Gring) and Lewis (Buck)Tregea on November 27, 1954. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore Schell. Alice leaves behind an older brother Ronald Tregea, her daughter, Emily Jo (Yoder) Scheider, husband Joe Scheider Jr. and Alice's pride and joy, her grandson, Shae Kennedy Scheider.

Alice was a friend to many and will be remembered for her dimpled smile, genuine heart and her craft of turning difficult, sad, or serious moments into a funny moment to make us laugh. She worked for many years at Children's Home of Reading, always ready to go the extra mile to make the kids smile when they wandered into the kitchen to visit with her. She retired as a Home Health Aid for private patients, spending some of her happiest years with Ted in Safety Harbor, Florida.  She was the most loving and doting Grammy and is greatly missed by all.
She adored Neil Diamond, songs from the 60s and 70s and practiced her faith as a long time member of Trinity UCC of Mt. Penn, PA. 

A date for a memorial service for Alice will be disclosed to family and friends at a later time. Donations in Alice's name can be made to Trinity UCC at 2449 Cumberland Ave. Reading PA 19606.
