Anthony Warunek Obituary

Anthony Evan Warunek known lovingly as Arod to his friends and family, passed away in his hometown of Reading, PA, on May 10, 2015. Born in the same vibrant city on December 27, 1993.  Robert Dennis Warunek and Diane Edna Warunek were foster parents and later adopted him. Anthony's joyful spirit and generous heart touched all who knew him throughout his 21 years of life. A proud classmate of the Exeter Township School District, Anthony was well-known for his friendly demeanor and optimistic outlook. He brought these same qualities to his professional life, contributing his strong work ethic to Morgan Truck Body, LLC in their Morgantown manufacturing plant, and to Boscov's Department Store, LLC. His dedication and enthusiasm were evident to everyone who worked alongside him. Anthony's life was one marked by active involvement and a love for sports. He was an integral part of Berkshire Baseball, wearing the number 6 as a skilled pitcher, and he carried his athletic talents over to the Exeter Township School Lacrosse team. Not only did Anthony excel on the field, but he also committed himself to the discipline and service of the Navy Sea Cadet Program, demonstrating his leadership abilities and his willingness to serve others. His interests extended beyond the sports field and into the great outdoors. Anthony cherished moments spent fishing with his father and friends, embracing the tranquility and excitement that came with the catch of the day. He found joy in the simple pleasures of bicycle riding, golfing, and hiking through the scenic trails of Pennsylvania, appreciating the beauty of nature that surrounded him. Anthony's helpful nature was evident in all aspects of his life. Whether it was assisting with chores, tending to yard work, or simply being a pillar of support for those in need, he approached every task with a thoughtful and service-minded attitude. His readiness to lend a helping hand was a testament to his character and a trait that endeared him to many. Described by those who knew him best as friendly, thoughtful, and ever-optimistic, Anthony's presence was a beacon of light. His infectious smile and genuine concern for others made him a beloved son, a caring friend, and a valued community member. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Anthony is survived by his devoted parents, Robert and Diane. He was a cherished soul, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and generous spirit. In keeping with the traditional values he held dear, Anthony's life will be celebrated in a manner that honors his loving memory and the positive impact he made on the world. His family will hold a private ceremony to bid him farewell, with the same warmth and love that Anthony extended to everyone he met.As the sun sets on the life of Anthony Evan Warunek, we are reminded of the fleeting nature of our time here and the importance of living each day with purpose and joy, just as he did. Though he has left us far too soon, the essence of who he was will forever be etched in our hearts. Rest in peace, Arod. Your spirit will forever soar high, just like the pitches you masterfully threw and the dreams you fearlessly chased.
