Bonnie L. Schwartz, 59, of Reading, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born on October 31, 1960 in Reading, PA, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Betty and Merl Conrad. She graduated from Wyomissing High School and worked as a receptionist for family medical practices for many years.
Bonnie was an avid sports fanatic. She loved cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. You could often hear her shouting at the television to the players as if she was an honorary coach. A viewing of an Eagles game wouldn’t be complete without Bonnie singing her favorite tune, “Fly, Eagles, Fly!”
Bonnie’s spirit will be carried on by her husband Scott Schwartz, of Reading; daughter Lauren Schwartz, of Reading; daughter Alison Lentz and her husband Cody, of Baltimore, MD; sister Susan Hardy, of Wernersville; and brother Michael Conrad and his wife Kathy of Reading.
She is also survived by one nephew, three nieces, and their families. All who knew Bonnie will remember her vibrant spirit and cherish the wonderful memories made together.
A viewing will be held at First Baptist Church of Reading on October 30, 2020 from 4:30pm - 5:30pm. A memorial service will follow the viewing beginning at 5:30pm. Guests are encouraged to wear Phillies and Eagles attire or their representative colors to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clayr’s Legacy. Clayr’s Legacy is a non-profit organization that raises money for cancer patients to participate in a bucket list activity with their families.
