Edwin G. Parke, Jr.

Edwin G. "Bud/Pops" Parke, Jr., age 83, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Reading, Pa. 

He was in hospice care at the time of his passing. 

He was born on June 17, 1938 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Edwin G. and Alice E. Parke, Sr.  He grew up in Jersey City, and later married Mildred R. (nee Stuart) and started a family.  In 1975 they moved to Old Bridge, NJ where he lived until settling in Pennsylvania in 2004.  His favorite pastimes were playing cards, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.  He worked for A&P, and then Gross & Hecht Trucking in Edison, NJ, until he retired in 1999.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Mildred, in 1999.  He was also predeceased by his sister - Alice Gardner and her husband Robert, his sister - Edith L. Dichiara, brother - Robert L. Parke and his wife Geri,  brother - John (Jack) Parke, his sister-in-law Lorraine Foley and her husband Charlie, and brother-in-law Raymond Stuart.
He is survived by his sons, Edwin G. Parke III and Wayne S. Parke, and his daughter, Arlene Vance and husband David, and two grandsons, Paul A. Parke and his fiancée Pam Schonour, and Darin Parke.  Also a sister Jean Stewart, sister-in-law MaryJane Parke, sister-in-law Lynn Newby and her husband Mike, sister-in-law Carolann Benedetti and her husband Scott, brother-in-law Alfred Dichiara and brother-in-law Albie Stuart and his wife Lana. There are also several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Per Bud's request a private cremation was held.  A memorial celebration of his life will be planned for a later date.
