Ellen Ingraham Obituary

We come together to celebrate the life of Ellen Louise Ingraham, a cherished member of the Mohrsville community, who passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 21, 2023, at the age of 74. Ellen, a resident of Mohrsville, Pennsylvania, was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.

Born on November 26, 1949, in Reading, Ellen's life was one of commitment and service, both to her family and the community that she loved so dearly. She was a graduate of Bernville high school and went on to become a self-employed business partner. Ellen's professional life was as diverse as it was impressive. She had extensive experience in landscaping, excavating, and on-site wastewater treatment installation, design, and repair. Her work was not just a job but a testament to her dedication to improving the environment and the world around her.

Ellen's passion for the outdoors extended beyond her professional endeavors. She was often found tending to her flower beds, where she cultivated not just plants but joy and beauty for everyone to enjoy. Her love of nature was also evident in her fondness for animals, particularly her cats and the local wildlife she enjoyed observing.

Above all, Ellen was a family woman. She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen H. Ingraham, and her sons, David P. Ingraham and James J. Ingraham, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Ellen's spirit will also live on through her brothers, Mike and Bud Carpenter, and her sister, Linda Rauch. Her role as a grandmother was one that she cherished deeply, and the time spent with her grandchildren was filled with laughter, love, and the creation of precious memories that will be treasured forever.

Ellen's life was one of connection and laughter, always finding joy in the company of her family and friends. Her presence was a source of comfort and happiness to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Ellen's warm smile and generous spirit were as radiant as the flowers she nurtured, and her impact on those around her was as profound as the roots of the trees she helped to plant.

As we say goodbye to Ellen Louise Ingraham, we reflect on a life well-lived, a journey marked by love, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of life. Ellen's legacy is one of enduring love and the beauty that can be found in the world around us. She will be profoundly missed, but the memories she created will continue to inspire and guide us. She was truly an earth born Angel set free.

In the quiet moments, when we see a flower blooming or hear the soft purr of a cat, we will remember Ellen and the light she brought into the world. Though she has left us, her spirit remains, a gentle reminder of the difference one person can make in the lives of many.

Ellen Louise Ingraham's story is not one of an end but a perpetual bloom in the garden of our hearts. As we honor her memory, let us carry forward the love and joy she shared so freely, nurturing it in our own lives and in the lives of others. Goodnight, Ellen, and thank you for the beauty you've left in your wake.
