Gwen Kaufman

Gwen Kaufman (DelCollo), born on November 11, 1948 in Reading, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on April 3, 2025 at the Reading Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. 

Born and raised in the city she called home Gwen was the daughter of Vivian & Thomas DelCollo. She grew up alongside her sisters Diane, Nettie and Janice. Gwen‘s early years were shaped by the warmth of family and the bonds of sisterhood that remained close to her heart. Gwen spent many years as a hairdresser, a career she found both fulfilling and exciting. 

Gwen was a devoted mother to her son Michael Kaufman and her daughter Christine Williams. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was unwavering and evident in every aspect of her life.

Gwen was survived by her significant other Steve McFarland, her sister Nettie, her children Michael Kaufman and Christine Williams, her grandchildren, Brianna, Jarret, Bionca, Justin, Savannah, and Jameson. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Isais, Zyrus and Lorelei as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Vivian & Thomas DelCollo, as well as her sisters Diane and Janice. 

Throughout her life Gwen touched many with her kindness and strength. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by many, whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Gwen wished to not have a service, but the family will be having a celebration of life for her.
