James Samuel Haag, affectionately known as Jim to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at the age of 59, in Reading, Pennsylvania. Born on October 27, 1966, to Nina P. (Elmo) and the late John H. Haag II.
Jim was a loving husband to Shannon L. (Schaefer) Haag and father to his sons, Gavin L. Haag and Ashton J. Haag of Bernville, PA. He is survived by his mother, Nina P. Haag of Womelsdorf, PA, his sister, Debra, wife of Len Dombroski of Blythewood, SC, and his brother, Jeffrey D. Haag, husband of Lori Haag, of Bernville, PA. Jim's memory will also be cherished by numerous nieces, and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his father, John H. Haag, II and his brother, John H. Haag, III.
Jim was a graduate of Conrad Weiser High School, Robesonia, PA.
Prior to his illness, he worked many years for MISCO Products Corporation, lastly as a Maintenance Supervisor. There, Jim was known not only for his strong work ethic, but also for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Jim found great joy in riding throughout Pennsylvania with his wife Shannon and friends for leisure and charity events. His sons Gavin and Ashton enjoyed time spent with him playing pool, racing slot cars, antiquing, and helping him work on his motorcycles.
Jim's life was one marked by devotion to family, a witty sense of humor, and unwavering courage as he battled cancer that left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was a master at putting a smile on your face. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
