Janet Buch Obituary

   Janet Ann (Mohn) Buch 89, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday February 12, 2023. She was a loving mother, Mom-mom, and Friend. Daughter of the lateChester L. Mohnand Helen A. (Wojszwillo) Mohn

     She had a great heart and cared for people, especially those that shared her love for bingo.  She was known by many as Bingo Janet or Mom-mom.  Her favorite number was B3 and often said she would play bingo “8” days a week if she could. She also loved her trips to the casino to play the nickel slots.

     Janet was born and raised in Southeast Reading PA. Her and her ex-husband, Ronald R. Buch moved the family to Exeter PA where she resided for the remainder of her life. Throughout the years she held many different jobs, such as a seamer, a looper and a mig welder.  She last worked as a bartender at the former Nutsy’s bar on Rt. 61 in Reading.  Mom-mom also spent many years babysitting for families, that were in need.  In the 1970’sshe was known as “The Goodie Lady” for the Exeter Mite/Midget football program.

     She was predeceased by sisters Theresa Smith, Patricia Freimann, and Helen Eddinger. And by her daughter Bonnie A. Hafer and son-in-law Terry Hafer.

    Janet is survived by brothers Robert Mohn and Chester Mohn , and her three loving children Rickie R. Buch, husband of Debra Buch, Tina A. Werts, wife of Raymond E. Werts Jr. and Stacie A. Buch-Courtesis, fiance’ of Dominic J. Deshields.

Mom-mom is survived by eight grandchildren Rhonda Jones, Laura Buch, Rickie Buch Jr., Hillary Strawhacker, Tiffany Ollar, Brittney Dulis, Bailey Courtesis and Brody Courtesis.

     She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren Trinity, Ashley, Sebastian, Lenyx, Ella, Cheyenne, Cody, Charlee, Colt and Jayla.

     A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 5pm-9pm at the Shelbourne Bingo Hall (5474 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606).
