Kenneth D Kessler, Passed away November 4, 2023. Born in 1931 and raised in Shillington, he resided in Sanatoga, PA upon his passing. Ken attended Shillington High School and then proudly served his country on an aircraft carrier for the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He also served in the Army Reserves. Ken was employed for 45 years as a manager for the Hanover Shoe Company.
Ken was known as a kind, generous, loving, and devoted husband and father and is pre-deceased by his loving wife Shirley (Zieger) Kessler. Deep in love, they were truly smitten with each other. Both worked together at the Berkshire Mall and could be seen walking together, kissing and holding hands throughout their 63 years of marriage. Together they raised a son, Edward G. Hertzig (deceased) and a surviving daughter, Carol Kessler from Sanatoga, Pa. Ken is also survived by his Cousin Janet Craley of Hamburg PA, his Nephew Michael Hoyer of West Reading and Niece Susan Reifinger
Ken enjoyed simple woodworking and interior design, taking great pleasure in providing his work as gifts to his beloved Shirley. A private memorial will be held by the family.
