Lorraine M. Getz

It is with great sadness that the family of Lorraine M. Getz announces her peaceful passing on January 14, 2026, in Berks County, Pennsylvania.  Living to the age of 88, Lorraine was born on December 11, 1937, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Lorraine was raised with her three brothers, Reuben, Ray, and Russell.  Her upbringing formed her into a confident and determined woman who forged her own path in life.

Fiercely independent, purposeful, and unwavering, Lorraine truly lived her life to the fullest.  Striking out on her own, Lorraine lived a good portion of her life in Delaware, where she found success as a medical transcriptionist.  Self-sufficient and motivated, she also established and operated a jewelry store in Wilmington, Delaware.  Later in life, Lorraine returned to Berks County, allowing her to spend more time with her family living in the area.  Friends and family will remember Lorraine for her vitality, her bold spirit, and the passion she demonstrated throughout her life.

Lorraine is loved and missed her brother, Russell B. Getz, her cousin, Sandra (Terry) Sheetz, nephews, Nathan Getz and Eric Getz, and niece, Anne Foose. Per Lorraine's wishes, services will be private.
