Raisa Caldwell Obituary

Raisa Caldwell, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away at the age of 54 on June 9, 2024, in Reading, PA, after a courageous battle with gastric cancer. Born on October 9, 1969, in Bronx, NY, Raisa's infectious spirit and unwavering positivity left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Raisa was a devoted wife to Derrick Caldwell and a loving mother to her sons, Jordon Harris and Gabriel Caldwell. She was the cherished daughter of Griselda Robles and Mary Ann Caldwell (In-law). The adored sister of Maggie Diaz, and Maritza Robles (in-law) and brother Michael Robles. She was loved by a host of Nieces, Nephews, relatives and beloved friends.  Although predeceased by her brother Manuel Robles, the memories they shared continue to bring solace to the family.

Her academic journey was marked by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and a passion for helping others. Raisa earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Albright College and went on to obtain a Master’s in social work at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Her continued education laid the foundation for a career dedicated to service and compassion.

Professionally, Raisa's commitment to social work shined brightly through her roles as an in-home case worker and family group facilitator. She was an advocate for those in need, offering support and guidance to countless individuals and families. Her colleagues remember her as a spirited force for good, always ready to extend a helping hand or a listening ear.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Raisa's interests were centered around creating joyous memories with her loved ones. She relished in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time with friends and family, indulging in good movies, and savoring meals out. Her passion for stories was evident in her love for listening to audiobooks, and music was a constant companion that uplifted her spirits.

Raisa will be remembered as a loving, kind, and spirited individual. Her warmth radiated from her, touching the hearts of those around her. She approached life with a rare blend of grace and exuberance, embodying the very essence of what it means to live fully and love deeply.

In her lifetime, Raisa's impact was profound, and her legacy will continue to inspire. Her unwavering positivity, even in the face of adversity, taught us all a valuable lesson about the resilience of the human spirit. She was, and always will be, a guiding light—a reminder that kindness and love are the most powerful forces of all.

As we bid farewell to Raisa Caldwell, we celebrate the extraordinary life she led and the countless lives she touched. Though she may be gone from this world, her spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the love she spread so freely. Rest in peace, Raisa; your journey here is complete, but your story will continue to be told by those who were fortunate enough to know you.

Memorial of Life to be held at Shillington Park - Pavillion#1, at 1pm to 2:30pm on Sunday 6/23/2024. Service is open to all Family and Friends and the Family would love to hear a memory of Raisa from those who attend. There will be limited seating due to the large number of people who were touched by Raisa, so please bring a lawn chair. Additionally the family would love if you shared a memory via the obituary webpage, so they can be revisited in time.

Attire: In order to honor Raisa, the family ask you try to wear something purple, or something shiny, or even better both.

The family asks if you are inclined to gift something, please provide anything else in lieu of flowers. Donations to your favorite stomach cancer support system would be appreciated.
