Ruth Wagner Obituary

Ruth S. Wagner, affectionately known as Ruthie, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully from natural causes on January 8, 2024, at the age of 68 in Reading, PA. Born on June 7, 1955, in Lebanon, PA, she was a woman whose life was defined by her unwavering care for others, her gentle humor, and her creative spirit.  Ruthie dedicated her professional life to nurturing those around her, serving as a caregiver at Prospectus-Berco. Her compassion and warmth left a lasting impact on all those she supported through her work. Her empathetic nature was not just confined to her job; it was the essence of who she was, touching the lives of everyone she met.  Ruthie's love extended to her family, who were the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her beloved son, Jeremy Stripling, and his wife, Jennifer Stripling, who cherished her as the heart of their family. Her sister, Jody Wagner Weinreich and brother Steven Wagner will fondly remember Ruthie's laughter and the special bond they shared. She was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Wagner and Mary Rowles, but the memories created with them will live on as a testament to their sibling love.  An avid animal lover, Ruthie's two cats, Gilbert and Seymour, were her constant companions. They brought joy and comfort to her days, and in return, she showered them with affection. Her love for her feline friends was a reflection of her overall nurturing disposition.  Ruthie's creativity shone brightly through her passion for sewing and making blankets. Many will recall the meticulous care with which she crafted each blanket, a labor of love that she generously donated to Mary's Shelter. Her handiwork provided warmth and solace to those in need, a beautiful embodiment of her giving spirit.  Those who knew Ruthie will remember her as a loving, kind, and funny individual. Her sense of humor was a gift that kept her loved ones smiling, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy. Ruthie approached life with a gentle heart and a generous soul, characteristics that made her truly special.  As we bid farewell to Ruth S. Wagner, we celebrate a life rich in moments of kindness, laughter, and love. Her legacy of caring and creativity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Ruthie's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were graced by her warmth.  Ruthie's journey through life was a testament to the beauty of a simple, loving existence. She made the world a better place just by being in it, and though she has left this earthly realm, the impact of her life's work and the love she shared will endure forever.  Funeral Service and Interment will be private.
